Our university's botanical garden will hold a special exhibition titled "Tomitaro Makino and the Plants of Hokkaido" from July 25th to November 3rd.

In this special exhibition, panels will introduce Dr. Tomitaro Makino's achievements, botanical paintings, and his relationship with Hokkaido's plants and the Hokkaido University Botanical Garden. In addition, botanical paintings of plants related to Makino will also be exhibited. Additionally, the "Makino Plants" mark will be displayed on plants in the garden, allowing you to see the plants that Makino was involved in naming.
