Hokkaido University and Toppan Inc. have jointly established an industry creation division, the Division of Comprehensive Research on Dementia. This division collaborates with Hokkaido University’s Dementia Research Center, which conducts comprehensive research on diagnostic technologies related to dementia.

 

Hokkaido University and Toppan Inc. will further advance their joint research on early diagnosis technology for Alzheimer’s disease by utilizing Toppan’s highly sensitive fluorescence detection technology, Digital ICA®, to detect exosomes. In addition, Hokkaido University and Toppan Inc. will work on a wide range of research issues, including the early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias through the evaluation and analysis of cognitive functions, methods for evaluating cognitive functions, and the search for biomarker for diagnosis.

 

The joint research will progress at the Global Research Center for Food & Medical Innovation (FMI), Hokkaido University.
