The Pharmaceutical Society of Japan will hold a public symposium, "Cutting Edge Environmental Pollution Research: Dissemination of SDGs Research," on March 28th.

This symposium is sponsored by the Pharmaceutical Society of Japan, and co-sponsored by our Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.

 

Chemical substances, as exemplified by plastics, have enriched human society and made life more convenient. However, the environment is now full of chemicals, and every place on Earth, including polar regions such as the Antarctic and North Pole, has been contaminated with man-made chemicals. At this public symposium, researchers working on the cutting edge of how plastics are polluting the environment and living things will be introduced, and researchers in Hokkaido who are working on environmental pollution and health issues will also be presenting their findings.
