The Hakodate Mariculture Project Kickoff Symposium, a symposium sponsored by Hakodate City, our university, and others, will be held on June 28th.

Our university participated in the project plan, which was submitted by Hakodate City: ``Building a sustainable marine and marine city centered on fish and algae cultivation - Towards the establishment of aquaculture that contributes to regional carbon neutrality.'' , has been selected as a project eligible for the Cabinet Office's ``Local Universities and Regional Industry Revitalization Grant'' in 2024.

We are holding this symposium to widely introduce this new initiative to fishermen, related companies, students, and citizens, and to increase their interest.
