“Hokkaido University Marucha Award 2022” is accepting applications for each category.

Hokkaido University Marche, which started in 2009, has held events about food, agriculture, and rural areas led by students from Hokkaido University's Graduate School of Agriculture and Graduate School of Global Food Resources. Starting in 2021, we will be changing the format to the ``Hokkaido University Marche Awards'' to honor people who are working on future agriculture, rural areas, and food production in Hokkaido, and to widely disseminate their activities to the world.

The theme for this year's second edition is ``Let's start doing things now that are obvious 20 years from now.''

Focusing on re-examining Hokkaido's agriculture, rural villages, and food from the perspective of ``What kind of future do we want to see?'', the ``It's a waste if it stays hidden! ~ Discover food and agriculture that people don't know about'' award. We are accepting applications in three categories: ``100-year sustainable circular agriculture that takes advantage of the climate'' and ``New Green Revolution ~Smart x Eco = Future~''.
