The Data-Driven Fusion Research Innovation Center (D-RED), which promotes integrated research through industry-academia-government and regional collaboration utilizing data science and AI, will host the D-RED Advanced Fusion Research Seminar #7 in collaboration with Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd. and the Mathematical and Data Science Education and Research Center (MDSC).
D-RED has established a research unit called "Sumitomo Rubber Innovation Base Sapporo Unit," and this time, a managing executive officer who leads management from Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd., the head of research and development who is at the forefront of cutting-edge research, and a young employee enrolled in the doctoral program at our university will take the stage to talk about how AI and data science are being used to solve the challenges facing the manufacturing industry, incorporating the real experiences and perspectives of corporate researchers.
