Hokkaido University Museum will be holding its 7th Saturday Citizen Seminar of the 2026 academic year, titled "Newly Reconstructed, Complete Kamuysaurus Skeleton."

The "complete full skeleton" of the hadrosaurid dinosaur Kamuysaurus japonicus was newly unveiled as a permanent exhibit on April 17, 2026. This new reconstruction, created using 3DCG technology, accurately restores the skeletal structure compared to previous reconstructions, revealing a detailed image of the entire dinosaur.
How were incomplete bones, such as those that were chipped, broken, or misaligned, restored to their original form? How were missing parts supplemented? And how were the scattered bones assembled into a complete skeleton?
And now, I'd like to introduce, from head to tail, everything that has become clear through this new reconstruction.
