The Hokkaido University Vision Promotion Fund (Functional Enhancement Promotion Project), specifically the project "Nurturing Young Researchers Centered on Interdisciplinary Research Hubs that Create New Interdisciplinary Fields," will host the "12th Hokkaido University Cross-Departmental Symposium: Creating Research Innovation Opened Up by Young Researcher Collaboration."
This symposium is held with the aim of disseminating cutting-edge research and collaborative achievements from various departments within the university, reaffirming the significance of interdepartmental collaborative research, and fostering the creation and development of new interdisciplinary research that transcends departmental boundaries.
This year, we will be hosting a special lecture by Professor Susumu Kitagawa, who is expected to receive the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2025.
This lecture is not limited to highly specialized topics and is structured in a way that is accessible to everyone, so students from all academic fields (science and humanities) can enjoy it.
