The "Overseas Learning Satellite" is a program in which our university collaborates with partner universities abroad to offer courses where students can learn together overseas, using the world as their educational field.
This time, with the support of Hokkaido Gas Co., Ltd., who endorsed the philosophy of this project, our employees participated in a program conducted at the "Overseas Learning Satellite" as part of their corporate training. This initiative is the first time that a collaborative learning program, positioned as corporate training and conducted together with our university students, has been implemented. The program selected as corporate training was "Human Resource Development Contributing to One Health - Inclusively Integrating the Environment, Organisms, and People of the Republic of Botswana (Location: Republic of Botswana)," conducted by Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, and was held from February 10th (Tue) to February 21st (Sat), 2026.
In the "Global Human Resource Development Contributing to the Realization of a Well-being Society (Building International Co-creation at HOKUDAI)" project, implemented under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology subsidy program "Support Project for Creating Social Impact through the Internationalization of Universities," which was selected in fiscal year 2024, we have positioned "Overseas Learning Satellites" as a core curriculum as a new form of international co-creation.
The Educational Innovation Organization will continue to promote the internationalization of the entire university and the expansion of students' global perspectives, while further strengthening collaboration with local communities and companies to promote business development that will serve as a new role model for international co-creation.
