The Planning and Management Committee for the 150th Anniversary of Hokkaido University's Founding will be holding Design Project Seminar #02, "The Possibilities of Design: Connecting Research and Society."

For university research to be implemented in society, it's not just the research results themselves that are needed, but also connections that allow them to be understood, used, and co-created within society.

In this event, we will consider design not merely as aesthetics or expression, but as a methodology for designing—a way of connecting research and society—and explore the process by which research connects with society through the interaction between technology and humans, and the communication between science and society.
