As part of its 150th anniversary celebrations, Hokkaido University will hold a commemorative symposium on the theme of "food."
Food is not only the foundation that supports human survival, but it also enriches and adds color to our lives.
This symposium will showcase the diverse "frontiers of knowledge" that Hokkaido University has cultivated, ranging from innovative production technologies, processing and brewing techniques, to the functional properties of food that support health, and even rural planning that forms the foundation of production.

Researchers from Hokkaido University will share cutting-edge knowledge to help create a society that supports food more reliably, efficiently, and stably, and where people can enjoy a rich and varied food supply.
