The Faculty School of Agriculture, Graduate Graduate School of Agriculture, and Graduate Research Faculty of Agriculture of Agriculture at Hokkaido University, along with the Sapporo Agricultural Alumni Association, will hold a commemorative lecture series planned by the Graduate Research Faculty of Agriculture to mark the 150th anniversary of the founding of Hokkaido University, titled "From Sapporo Agricultural College to the Future - 150 Years of Hokkaido University and the Outlook for Next-Generation Agriculture."
Based on the traditions dating back to the Sapporo Agricultural College, the Graduate Research Faculty of Agriculture at Hokkaido University has created interdisciplinary knowledge in a wide range of fields, including food, environment, and life sciences. In particular, through empirical research that leverages the unique characteristics of Hokkaido, it has contributed to the realization of sustainable agriculture and society.
In this commemorative lecture series, graduates of the School of Agriculture will share their perspectives on the future of agriculture towards a sustainable society, drawing on insights from industry, research, and government.
