The Center for Human Intelligence, Brain, and AI Research and Education (CHAIN) at Hokkaido University will hold its 57th Human Intelligence, Brain, and AI Seminar (CHAIN Academic Seminar #57), "Mapping Music to the Body: An Integrated Understanding from Bodily Intelligence to the Intelligence of Place," on Friday, May 8th.

 

For this CHAIN seminar, we are pleased to have Professor Tatsuya Oguro from the University of Tokyo give a lecture.

Professor Oguro, who has an unusual background having pursued a career in medicine after being accepted into a music university, studies the mechanisms of human musical perception and creativity from the perspectives of neuroscience and AI (computational theory), with the main theme being "How do humans perceive music?"

We encourage everyone to participate.
