The Hokkaido University Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) has created the "DEI Public Relations Expression and Accessibility Guidebook."
Hokkaido University must be careful to ensure that the information it disseminates to domestic and international audiences, as well as the expressions used in its media, do not promote discrimination or prejudice, or impose stereotypes.
Therefore, with the aim of helping each of us become aware of our own unconscious discrimination and prejudice, understand 'diversity and inclusion,' and reflect that in our creative works, we have created the "DEI Public Relations Expression and Accessibility Guidebook."
This guidebook covers all forms of communication disseminated by the university, including its website, brochures, internal newsletters, SMN (Social Media Network), email, presentations at lectures and other events, and interpersonal communication within the university. It provides practical and useful examples of things to consider when creating such communications and expressions to avoid, along with specific examples.
