On Sunday, March 15th, the Graduate Schools of Information Sciences at eight national university corporations (Hokkaido University, Tohoku University, University of Tokyo, Tokyo University of Science, Nagoya University, Kyoto University, Osaka University, and Kyushu University) will hold an event for junior and senior high school students called "Informatics for All by All" to convey the potential of informatics.
Smartphones, social media, and the recently popular generative AI all began with this field of study.
Informatics is a field of study that has the power to make society more convenient, connect people, and shape the future. At this event, professors and senior students will teach you about the joys and possibilities of informatics. Your curiosity may be the first step in creating a new future.
At the university meeting venue, each university will be planning its own unique program to fully convey "Informatics", including research presentations by graduate students, laboratory tours, tea time with graduate students, and consultation sessions for parents. Please also check out the unique session "What is the Information Sciences Department at Hokkaido University Like?"
