Hokkaido University Museum will be accepting students for museum internships to acquire curatorial qualifications on an open basis from 2026. Until now, the internship was only available to undergraduate and graduate students affiliated with Hokkaido University, but from now on, students from outside the university will also be able to apply.
As of January 2026, the following faculty members are available to accept students for museum internships. In principle, we plan to have multiple students participate in the internships at the same time under each faculty member.
- Fumito Tashiro (specialty: fish)
- Kotaro Shuto (Specialty: land plants, especially vascular plants)
