The Faculty of Engineering at Hokkaido University will be exhibiting at "Rikeko no Susume," a science and engineering experience event for elementary school School of Engineering to experience work and research at science and engineering companies and universities (sponsored by the Hokkaido Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry), which will be held at Ario Sapporo on Wednesday, February 11th (national holiday).
"Rikeko" is a word that means "children who are interested in science." At this event, companies and universities in Hokkaido that employ science professionals will set up booths and hold programs where people can experience their work and research.
Hokkaido University's School of Engineering will be exhibiting an experiential booth titled "Touch and Learn! River Flow Designing the Earth." On the day, Associate Professor Riki Iwasaki of Faculty of Engineering 's School of Engineering and students will provide easy-to-understand explanations.
