Hokkaido University and Hokuyaku Takeyama Holdings Co., Ltd. have signed an agreement to acquire naming rights for university facilities, and the nickname for the Sapporo Campus Faculty of Medicine's Second Auditorium will be "Hokuyaku Takeyama Auditorium" from November 1, 2025 to October 31, 2030. This is the second naming rights granted to a Faculty of Medicine facility.
Hokuyaku Takeyama Holdings Co., Ltd. is a comprehensive regional healthcare company based in Hokkaido, with its core businesses of Hokuyaku, a pharmaceutical wholesaler, and Takeyama, a medical equipment wholesaler. The nickname for this facility, "Hokuyaku Takeyama Auditorium," is imbued with a delicate prayer for the success of the medical students who aspire to be at the forefront of medical care in Hokkaido and throughout Japan.
At the commemorative ceremony held on Tuesday, November 4th, after greetings from Masanobu Manabe, President and CEO of Hokuyaku Takeyama Holdings Co., Ltd./Hokuyaku Co., Ltd., and Shinya Tanaka, Faculty of Medicine, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held by President and CEO Manabe, Shigeki Takeyama, Representative Director of Takeyama Co., Ltd., Faculty of Medicine, and Vice Faculty of Medicine Yabe, and the event ended in great success.
