Hokkaido University Field Science Center for Northern Biosphere, Horokanai Town Board of Education, and Nayoro City Hokkoku Museum will be holding the "Forest Exploration Team 2026 Winter" from January 8th to 9th.

The Forest Exploration Team is an outdoor program aimed at elementary school students during winter break. The program aims to deepen interactions between students and the forests of Hokkaido, where they can learn about forest structures and the activities of living creatures while having fun playing in the forests of Hokkaido. It is usually held in January, mid-winter, in the forests of Hokkaido University's Uryu Research Forest (Moshiri, Horokanai-cho, Uryu-gun).
