The Ministry of Justice will hold the 2025 Hokkaido Block Symposium on Recidivism Prevention "Recidivism Prevention Initiatives by Private Sector Collaborators to Solve Social Issues: Synergy between the Community and Criminal Justice" on January 24, 2012, under the joint sponsorship of the Hokkaido University Graduate School Graduate School of Law and Graduate School of Law, the Center for Advanced Legal Education and Research, Hokkaido University Faculty of Education, and the Recidivism Prevention Network Conference of Sapporo City. The symposium will be held on January 24, 2025.

 

Based on the Act on Promotion of Recidivism Prevention (Act No. 104 of 2016), the national and local governments and private organizations are working together to "prevent recidivism." This symposium will feature a panel discussion titled "Synergy for Coexistence between Local Communities and Criminal Justice." Professor Akihiro Onagi of School of Law at Hokkaido University will serve as commentator and panelist for the panel discussion.
