SWiTCH General Incorporated Association, in collaboration with Sapporo City and Hokkaido University's Institute for the Advancement of Sustainability, will host the "Sustainable Kids Award ~ Sapporo 2026" for local elementary school students. Submissions for this award will be accepted until February 8, 2026.
As global warming accelerates, it is necessary to develop green human resources. Rather than learning about the environment only after entering the workforce, if we increase opportunities for children to realize that they are connected to the global environment from an early age,
We hope that young people will use their talents and ideas to brighten the way for a sustainable future.
This award, the second in a series, will be held as a soft legacy of the G7, with elementary school students supporting local businesses and local governments and aiming to make Sapporo an environmental capital. The judge for this award will be Makoto Demura, Special Advisor to the President of the Hokkaido University Institute for the Advancement of Sustainability.
