The Graduate Graduate School of Law and Faculty of School of Law at Hokkaido University and the Sapporo Association of Judicial Scriveners have concluded a collaboration agreement aimed at contributing to the enrichment and development of the activities of both parties.
This is the first time that both Graduate School of Law and School of Law of Law, and the Sapporo Association of Judicial Scriveners, have signed a collaboration agreement with an external organization. Through this agreement, cooperation between the two parties is expected to contribute greatly to resolving legal issues in the local community. Under this agreement, the two parties will deepen their cooperation primarily in the following four areas:
- The first is a matter related to research at Graduate School of Law and School of Law, which is expected to lead to the holding of research meetings and joint research projects involving both parties.
- The second is a matter related to education at Graduate School of Law and School of Law. This will make it possible in the future to offer courses in the specialized fields of judicial scriveners, taught by certified judicial scriveners. It will also increase the possibility of utilizing the graduate school as a place for recurrent education for judicial scriveners.
- The third is a matter regarding training for the Sapporo Association of Judicial Scriveners, which will make it easier than ever to dispatch lecturers from Graduate School of Law and School of Law and to use university facilities for training.
- The fourth point concerns public relations regarding the activities of the Sapporo Association of Judicial Scriveners. Many graduates of the Graduate Graduate School of Law and School of Law are active in the Sapporo Association of Judicial Scriveners. Thus, the profession of judicial scrivener is an attractive one for students of the Graduate Graduate School of Law and School of Law School of Law Therefore, as part of their career education, we will provide opportunities to explain the duties and appeal of judicial scriveners to students of the Graduate School of Graduate School of Law and Faculty of Law, which will also contribute to nurturing judicial scriveners as the next generation of legal practitioners.
By deepening mutual cooperation based on this agreement, we believe that we will be able to contribute more to solving legal issues in the local community from both the perspectives of legal research and practice, and as a result, we will be able to further contribute to the creation of a local community that respects diversity.
