The One Health Research Center will hold an open lecture for the public entitled "Wild Animals and Avian Influenza in Our Lives" on November 15th.
In May 2025, the first cases of highly pathogenic avian influenza infection in marine mammals were reported in Japan. In eastern Hokkaido, wild animals, including seabirds, have been infected with and died from highly pathogenic avian influenza. We turn our attention to the invisible virus and wild animals living in nature, and consider what we can do.
