[Movie synopsis]
I have been living in Korea for eight years, despite having permanent residency in Japan as a Korean resident in Japan. Even today, shiso plants grow in the garden of my Korean home. While shiso leaves may look similar to Korean perilla leaves, they emit a unique fragrance not found in perilla. Their presence seems to overlap with my own, a person who, despite having a Korean name and nationality, feels alienated in Korean society.
