On Tuesday, September 16th, the Sapporo Campus was certified as a nature-friendly site under the Act on Promotion of Activities to Enhance Biodiversity in Local Areas (Regional Biodiversity Enhancement Act).
In response to this, the "1st Nature Coexistence Site Certification Ceremony of 2025" was held on Tuesday, September 30th at the Sabo Kaikan Hall in Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo, and was attended by Project Professor Kazuyoshi Nemoto Institute for the Advancement of Sustainability, Project Associate Professor Shingo Kitaoka of the same organization, and Deputy Director of the Tokyo Office Katsuhiko Hiroshige, who were presented with a Nature Coexistence Site certification certificate and a commemorative plaque.
