Hokkaido University School of Medicine is taking on the crowdfunding challenge "Donate to the project to develop young talent who will lead the future of medical care in Hokkaido."

For over 100 years since its founding, Hokkaido University School of Medicine has been cultivating the talent needed to support Hokkaido's medical care. Our mission is to deliver medical care to every corner of this vast land and build a society where local residents can live healthy lives. However, we are now facing a major challenge that threatens the future: the exodus of young doctors from Hokkaido. Students from across the country, including those from Hokkaido, do not necessarily stay in the prefecture after graduation. This could undermine the foundations of the regional medical system. Furthermore, while we strive to improve the educational environment for nurturing future doctors, funding is not always sufficient. To overcome this crisis, we have launched this project. Your donations will be used to send first- and second-year medical students to medical institutions across Hokkaido for practical training in regional medical care, to provide seminars and outreach courses for junior and senior high school students to learn about the work of doctors, to create a community connecting young doctors from across the country with Hokkaido, and to directly support student learning. This project is an investment in Hokkaido's future to ensure a sustainable medical system. If young people develop an attachment to this place and become successful doctors, it will lead to a society in which everyone can receive medical care with peace of mind in the future. We ask for your kind donations to support this challenge of creating the future of medical care in Hokkaido together with everyone.
