MIRAI Research & Innovation Week, the main event of the international consortium "MIRAI" of which Hokkaido University is a member, was held online from June 7th (Monday) to June 11th (Friday), 2021. From our university, Director Atsushi Yokota・Several researchers, including the vice president, gave keynote speeches, lectures, and presentations.
In the Sustainability session, Professor Yukihiro Takahashi of Faculty of Science gave a keynote lecture entitled"Contribution of advanced remote sensing using microsatellites to a sustainable environment."
The MIRAI project is a university consortium launched in 2017 with the aim of strengthening cooperation and promoting academic exchange between Japan and Sweden. For the three years starting in 2020, we aim to further strengthen collaboration and cooperation as Mirai 2.0. Currently, a total of 19 universities are participating, including 8 universities on the Japanese side and 11 universities on the Swedish side. We address the scientific challenges of entrepreneurship (Innovation & Entrepreneurship).
