The 11th Hokkaido University Inter-Faculty Symposium, which aims to promote interaction among young researchers at Hokkaido University and the creation of interdisciplinary research, will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025. This symposium is being held as part of Hokkaido University's functional enhancement project, "Fostering young researchers with a core of interdisciplinary research centers that create new interdisciplinary fields."
At this symposium, the Integrated URA Headquarters will hold a session titled "First Steps in Interdisciplinary Projects." This session aims to provide researchers (including doctoral students and postdocs) who are interested in starting interdisciplinary research with an opportunity to gain hints and ideas for their future research activities by sharing examples of how interdisciplinary research projects have been launched. The session will focus on how researchers with different specialties meet, collaborate, and launch new research, sharing practical insights.
