Slavic-Eurasian Research Center Slavic-Eurasian Research Center Hokkaido University will hold its 54th public lecture, "Between Colonization and Modernization: Tribal Order, Power, and Social Change in Kyrgyz Society (1860s-1930s)," on September 19th.
The Slavic-Eurasian Research Center at Hokkaido University holds public lectures to widely publicize the latest developments and research results in the Slavic Eurasian region (the former Soviet Union, Eastern European countries, and surrounding areas). Regular lectures are scheduled to be held four times a year, as well as special lectures. This time, the lecturer will be Project Assistant Professor Mirlan Bektursunov.
