Faculty of Medicine at Hokkaido University and the University of Cologne will jointly hold a symposium entitled "Connecting Nations, Protecting Generations: Preventive Strategies for Climate Change-Related Diseases in the Elderly in Japan and Germany" on August 28th.

Extreme heat associated with climate change poses serious health risks to older populations, especially in rapidly aging societies such as Japan and Germany. This symposium will explore innovative preventive strategies to protect the health and well-being of older people and strengthen their resilience to increasing heat stress.
