The Hokkaido University Media and Tourism Research Center, in collaboration with Center for Advanced Tourism Studies, will be holding "Capturing the Moment: Travel, Media, and Cultural Heritage 4" and "UKOAPKAS Film Screening & Talk" on August 25th.

How do Aboriginal and Ainu art and design come together? UKOAPKAS will explore this creative exchange through a Linoprint Workshop held in June 2024. Directed by Associate Professor Kyaw Mou and produced by Assistant Professor Uzawa Kanako, the film explores the deep respect for sustainability and materials found in Ainu and Indigenous Australian design, sparking a dialogue about the future of sustainable culture.
