The Hokkaido University Symphony Orchestra (Hokkaido University Orchestra) is taking on a crowdfunding campaign with the aim of "delivering courage and inspiration through the music we create together!"
The Hokkaido University Symphony Orchestra (Hokkaido University Orchestra) is a student orchestra with a 104-year history, focusing on two regular concerts per year. In the fall of 2025, the orchestra will celebrate its 150th regular concert. Conducted by Tatsuya Shimono, the orchestra will take on Mahler's Symphony No. 5 at Sapporo Concert Hall Kitara. We aim to fill Kitara to capacity and deliver moving music filled with energy and superb music.
To put on a concert, we need to cover venue costs, transport the instruments, and tuition fees for the conductor and trainers. There's a limit to how much the members can cover, and we're short on funds, so we've decided to try crowdfunding. Your support will be a great help in our efforts to grow and share the appeal of classical music. We're currently working towards our next goal of 2.5 million yen. We appreciate your support.
