The Open Education Center of the Hokkaido Institute for the Advancement of Graduate Education has opened a new learning space called "Digital Creative Grids" on the second floor of the affiliated North Library.
Grids provides and supports an environment for "learning by creating" using digital creative tools such as Adobe Express, and is available for free use by students and faculty at Hokkaido University.
At the opening ceremony held on Thursday, May 8th, greetings were given by Executive Vice President Yamamoto Fumihiko, Kita Library Director Sato Mihiro, Haruko Koike (Executive Director of the Education Business Division at Adobe Inc.), and Open Education Center Director Matsuo Masahiro. Additionally, Open Education Center Deputy Director Shigeta Katsusuke, Associate Professor Fujioka Chiya, and Researcher Tanaka Hiroaki gave a talk entitled "Outline of Grids' Initiatives and Future Prospects," introducing the purpose of establishing Grids, its operations, facilities, workshops, and design concept.
