The Hokudai-Doushin Academy is a new learning space that opened in April 2018 in collaboration with Hokkaido University and the Hokkaido Shimbun Press group to promote local knowledge. We are pleased to announce that we have begun accepting applications for the second semester of the 2025 Hokudai-Doushin Academy course.
At the Hokudai-Doushin Academy in the second semester of 2025, the science courses will be taught by Faculty of Science, and will focus on the theme of science as a discipline that continues to ask "why?", and will discuss the inheritance of 100 years of knowledge and prospects for the future from fields such as physics, chemistry, and biology. The general course will use wine as a starting point to explore the potential of Hokkaido's climate, culture, and industry, including the Hokkaido Wine Valley concept. Both courses will be taught in an omnibus format by faculty members from Hokkaido University.
We are now accepting new students, so please consider taking our course. We look forward to your participation.
