The Hokkaido University Research Center for Wide-area Complex Disasters aims to train disaster prevention experts who can respond flexibly and comprehensively to various disaster risks, and is implementing a Specialized Human Resources Development Program (N-HRP) to strongly promote the mitigation of wide-area complex disasters.
Program Overview

- Number of lectures: 30 (90 minutes each) *Combination of face-to-face and on-demand lectures
- Course period: October 1, 2025 to February 5, 2026
- Target participants: Disaster prevention personnel (municipalities, private companies, NPO staff, etc.) with a university degree or equivalent, or 3 years or more of work experience in government, etc.
- Tuition: 50,000 yen per person * Tuition is subsidized for municipal employees listed in the National Association of Flood Control and Erosion Control Members.
