In Hokkaido, a portal site "HOKKAIDO Tech Academia - Hokkaido Semiconductor Human Resource Development Portal Site" has been newly established to introduce educational programs and research and development efforts in the semiconductor field to high school students inside and outside the prefecture. This site was built for the purpose of developing semiconductor human resources in Hokkaido as part of the Regional University and Regional Industry Creation Subsidy Project in which our university is also involved.
This portal site has posted a video of a special meeting between our university's President Kiyohiro Takakin, Hokkaido Governor Naomichi Suzuki, and Rapidus Inc. President Atsuyoshi Koike. In the meeting, they talked about the future of semiconductors, the potential of Hokkaido, and their expectations for high school students. It will surely be inspiring for you as you consider your future career paths.
In addition, the magazine also features messages from each of the three parties to high school students. The messages are filled with enthusiasm, and are intended to inspire even those who are not yet familiar with the term "semiconductors" to become interested in this field that will underpin the society of the future.
From Hokkaido to all of you who will carry the future. Please use this portal site to open the door to new learning and encounters.
