Hokkaido University's Center for Advanced Tourism Studies and ICN-CRRD (Inter-Regional Network for Cultural Resources Research and Development) will co-host the 51st Online Tourism Creation Forum on June 26th.

The second Kumamoto Manga Anime Festa was held in the area around JR Kumamoto Station in Kumamoto City, Kumamoto Prefecture for two days on May 5th and 6th, 2025, and attracted approximately 60,000 visitors over the two days. This time, we welcomed Nobuhiko Satake, representative of PopTownProject, the organizer of the event, as the lecturer, and journalist Taro Kawashima as the moderator. After hearing a report on the efforts leading up to the Festa, we will have a discussion on issues unique to rural areas and future developments.
