The Hokkaido University Joint Project Center Healthcare AIX Innovation Center and Hokkaido University Hospital Medical AI Research and Development Center will hold the 34th Medical AI Special Seminar, "The Potential for Developing Hypothetical Reasoning Using Trajectory Analysis and AI," on July 14th.
The lecturer for this seminar will be Professor Shinji Nakaoka Faculty of Advanced Life Science Hokkaido University. The method of estimating cell differentiation from data using single-cell analysis (trajectory estimation) can potentially be used to form hypothetical inferences from data, including onset trajectories and evolutionary trajectories. In this lecture, I will talk about a study that collected data on the bacterial flora of various individuals and performed trajectory estimation. I will discuss how it is possible to identify bacterial species that play an important role in the trajectory leading to onset. At the end of the lecture, I would like to talk about the idea of using trajectory estimation and trajectory prediction for hypothetical inference using AI as a future perspective.
