During World War II, Taiwanese who were sent to the battlefield as part of the Japanese army and participated in massacres, Taiwanese who were sent to internment camps as Japanese, and the conflict between Malays and overseas Chinese... This 4 hour 50 minute documentary by a Malaysian director captures long-forgotten memories that cannot be captured by the framework of "perpetrator/victim." Filming "from island to island" in Southeast Asian countries, Taiwan, and Japan, he gathers materials (oral statements, family letters, diaries, and footage) to get closer to the truth. Now, a voice buried in the forests of Malaysia begins to whisper in the audience's ears.
