On April 1st, the Student Support Division of the Academic Affairs Department at Hokkaido University opened a new student support desk called "HOSSO" (official name: Hokudai One-stop Student Support Office).
HOSSO is a one-stop service that provides prompt and comprehensive support for questions and inquiries about student motivation, studies, student life, etc. It was pre-opened at the end of March and officially opened in April. HOSSO will be taking the following initiatives:
- Responding to student consultations and directing students to appropriate offices
- Public relations and information dissemination regarding student support
- Collaboration with student support organizations on campus
To mark the opening, Executive Vice President for Education Fumihiko Yamamoto and Executive Vice President for Student Support Aya Takahashi visited HOSSO to inspect the facility, experiencing what a real-life consultation would be like and touring the individual booths.
