The Hokkaido University Research Institute for Electronic Science will be holding an open day entitled "Experience the Wonders of Light, Matter, Living Things, Mathematics, and the Environment!" on June 7th.

This event is being held as part of the joint open house of laboratories and centers, "See, hear, touch and enjoy cutting-edge science." Plans include experiences such as making giant soap bubbles and a marble microscope, and freezing everyday objects with liquid nitrogen at -169 degrees.
