The Fisheries Science Museum, located within the Fisheries Science Future Human Resources Development Center on the Hakodate Campus, reopened after renovation on April 24th.

Last October, the aging Fisheries Science Museum (formerly the Fisheries Museum) and library were rebuilt together, and the functions of the Fisheries Science Museum and Library were integrated to create the Fisheries Science Future Human Resource Development Center, an MLA-affiliated complex with advanced archive and shop functions. When the Fisheries Science Museum first opened, some of its collection was open to the public, but it has now been reopened. After the renovation, the exhibition room is roughly divided into three areas: taxidermy, School of Fisheries Sciences, and museum. In addition to the exhibition room, the backyard material storage room is also open to the public. Please come and see the real behind-the-scenes of the museum.
