The National Agriculture and Food Research Organization (NARO), the Hokkaido University Research Institute for Regenerative Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (IRAFF), and the Hokkaido University Faculty of Information Science and Technology will hold a School of Agriculture symposium titled "AgriTech Revolution: New Agriculture Supported by AI and IoT" on March 26th.

Modern society is undergoing a major transformation due to technological innovations in AI (artificial intelligence) and IoT (Internet of Things). In the agricultural field, AI is expected to contribute greatly to improving the efficiency and accuracy of agriculture, such as predicting crop growth, detecting pests and diseases, and determining the optimal harvest time. Meanwhile, IoT uses sensors and drones to collect and analyze greenhouse conditions and weather data in real time, enabling the automation and remote management of agricultural work such as weeding. These technologies will also contribute to improving the safety of agricultural crops. The future of agriculture is something you should know about now. Why not take a peek at it at this symposium?
