A new article, "No. 12 ‘The Second Challenge in 150 years’" has been published in the President's Column on the special website for Kiyohiro Houkin, the 20th President of Hokkaido University.

 

In the President's Column, Hokkaido University President Kiyohiro Houkin shares his daily thoughts while also touching on international topics surrounding the university. In consideration of the internationalization of the university, messages are sent in English so that international students and people living overseas can also read them. This column focuses on recent semiconductor-related human resource development and research. Citing the founding of the Sapporo Agricultural College about 150 years ago, he discusses the challenges of advanced science.
