The Japan Science and Technology Agency/Cabinet Office will hold the "Integrated Knowledge Workshop: 'Opening up Social Change and Business Opportunities with Integrative Knowledge'" on February 12th.

Mr. Masayoshi Doi, Specialist of the Graduate School Education Reform Promotion Office, Academic Affairs Planning Division, Academic Affairs Department, Hokkaido University, is scheduled to take the stage in the panel discussion in the third part of the event.

The 6th Science, Technology and Innovation Basic Plan (6th Basic Plan) outlined a policy of "social transformation through comprehensive knowledge" in order to realize Society 5.0. This can be said to be an attempt to transform science, technology and innovation policy into one that contributes to a comprehensive understanding of humanity and society and problem solving through "comprehensive knowledge" that combines all kinds of "knowledge," including humanities, social sciences and natural sciences. This workshop, co-hosted by the Japan Science and Technology Agency and the Cabinet Office as part of the Comprehensive Knowledge Caravan, aims to look back on the status of domestic and international efforts regarding "comprehensive knowledge" and to explore the strategic direction of future science, technology and innovation policy.
