Professor Shigeru Aoki Institute of Low Temperature Science, Hokkaido University, has been selected as the leader (and summer leader) of the 67th Antarctic Research Expedition, scheduled to be dispatched in FY2025.
The 67th expedition is planning to carry out ice drilling at the new Dome Fuji observation base and oceanographic observations off the coast of Totten Glacier, where they will aim to gain a deeper understanding of how the ocean is melting the ice sheet.
