Center for Environmental and Health Sciences will hold a public seminar entitled "Planetary health initiatives in Japan - Activities of the Hiroshima University Planetary Health Innovation Science Center" on January 17th.

 

This seminar will be held as part of the "Diversity Research Environment Realization Initiative (female leadership development type)" program, which Hokkaido University was selected for as part of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's Science and Technology Human Resource Development Subsidy Program. Associate Professor Saori Kashima, Deputy Director of the International Collaboration Organization at IDEC, Hiroshima University, will give a lecture on planetary health initiatives in Japan. In addition, the discussion session will focus on the DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) initiatives at Hiroshima University, particularly case studies from diverse perspectives such as gender, cultural background, and life stage, and will discuss themes such as "How diversity and inclusion affect research and education from the global perspective of planetary health" and "Examples of female leadership."
