The Hokkaido University Mathematics and Data Science Education and Research Center will hold a course for high school students, "Data Science Exploration Introductory Course '25 Winter," on January 11th and 12th.

 

The Hokkaido University Mathematical Data Science Education and Research Center regularly supports high school students' research activities related to data science, and following on from last year, will hold a short-term intensive schooling called "Introductory Research Course '25 Winter" at the Hokkaido University Sapporo Campus. The Introductory Research Course has three features: 1) discussion practice with the participation of graduate student TAs (for group research activities in high school), 2) reconsidering each other's research topics through question and answer sessions with several students, and 3) experiencing the technologies required for data processing (Google colab, satellite data analysis, etc.) with graduate student TAs.
