The Global Station for Indigenous and Cultural Diversity Studies (GSI) at Hokkaido University will hold the International Symposium 2024 "Indigenous Repatriation: Culture, Memory, Knowledge" on November 29th.

This symposium will bring together 12 distinguished experts and researchers to discuss redressing historical injustices, revitalizing cultural practices, and redefining relationships between indigenous communities and institutional actors through indigenous restitution. Through personal reflections and international case studies, the event will provide deep insights into the complexities, outcomes, and collaborative frameworks that underpin effective restitution initiatives.
