The Marine Education Promotion Committee of the Japan Society of Naval Architects and Ocean Engineers (a public interest Arctic Research Center Center of Hokkaido University as its host.

This forum has been held across the country with the objectives of: 1) deepening understanding of the ocean and contributing to the sustainable development of the maritime industry and maritime culture of Japan, a maritime nation; and 2) raising interest in marine science among citizens and young people, such as high school students, who will be the leaders of the next generation, by hearing about the latest research results from renowned researchers and exchanging opinions on the marine environment, which is of great interest to citizens.

In addition to research presentations by high school students, Professor Shotaro Uto Arctic Research Center will give closing remarks at this forum.
